For forty years now, Roe v. Wadehas been the law of the land. America’s pastime isn’t baseball anymore; it is the killing of the unborn. It is the disregard for human life and human dignity that we have not only allowed, but have brazenly embracedas a nation. It doesn’t end there, either. Perhaps if we didn’t treat human sexuality as if it were nothing more than a physical act to quench a distorted animalistic desire, we wouldn’t live in a contraceptiveobsessed society that sees new human life as an inconvenience — something to be abhorred and eradicated. This year marks a banner year for the world’s largest and most profitable contractor of death. While Planned Parenthood continues to rake in the millions of tax dollars and corporate bigwig donations, the blood of the innocents continues to flow like that of the cows and pigs in an industrial slaughterhouse.
A miserable and unhappy anniversary we say to you, Margaret Sanger! We salute her and her evil minions’ success in helping to murder nearly 60 million hu-man beings through surgical abortion since 1973. Congratulations to each and every abortionist who has profited from such a macabre and evil trade. You’ve all done a fine job in helping create a world full of death and sorrow and countless tears.
Thank you for also creating a society that has successfully made homosexuality as popular, accepted, and celebrated as contraception. Why not? These are sterile acts, with no threat of pregnancy. Pregnancy is a disease, isn’t it? A “punishment” is the word our current American president once used to describe what a human child would mean if his daughters were to get pregnant at a young age.
Adding insult to injury is par for the course when it comes to proaborts. These people are twisted beyond any reasonable or logical belief. The latest and most offensive piece of pro-death propaganda was offered up by the Center for Reproductive Rights, on the actual anniversary of Roe v. Wade, no less.
Take the talented young black actor Mehcad Brooks, who at 32 years of age stars in two wildly popular television dramas. These dramas are the sex- obsessed sports drama Necessary Roughness and, interestingly, the supernatural True Blood on HBO, which is all about vampires in today’s world. Brooks also used to star in the sex- soaked ABC drama series Desperate Housewives.
Brooks is now the star of the Center for Reproductive Rights’ disgusting pro- abortion propaganda ad, titled “ Happy 40th Anniversary, Baby.” This ad shows Brooks sitting in a large Hefner- esque leather chair, by a fireplace with a cognac and a single rose. The actor goes on to have an intimate one- way conversation with the viewer in a low, Barry White- like voice with sleazy music playing in the background.
Brooks starts off with, “ Hey baby, did you think I’d forget our anniversary?” It doesn’t end there. The ad goes on for a very long and awkward minute and 43 seconds that must even make some proaborts uncomfortable. Brooks does the absolute best impersonation of what I imagine the Devil himself would be like. He sneers, winks, and laughs in a sinister way that would make Al Pacino look like a beginner inThe Devil’s Advocate.
The most troubling thing about this ad is that Brooks doesn’t appear to be acting. He sounds seductive, genuine, and completely con-vinced that he is doing and saying nothing wrong.
Brooks’ performance in this ad is the personification of every irresponsible man who ever walked the face of the earth. He says he cares about you and loves you, but he is celebrating the passage of the most exploitative, anti- woman, anti- child law ever imagined.
Abortion has only served the purposes of so- called men who see women as nothing more than a physical object for their pleasure. Abortion is the answer to the sick prayers of every misguided adolescent punk, privileged frat boy, traveling executive, and your average Joe next door who views women as lesser beings that are only there for their carnal desires.
If you think I am being unfair or graphic in my description here, I invite you to watch this ad at drawtheline. org, and try not to let it make your blood boil.
Abortion isn’t the great women’s liberation that the death- mongers at Planned Parenthood purport it to be; it is the absolute opposite of it. Abortion is the Devil’s second greatest lie and America’s government has been perpetrating and celebrating this lie for 40 years now!
Abortion does not “ free” women from what the pro- aborts consider the shackles of chastity, abstinence, self- respect, human dignity, marriage, motherhood, family, and — most important — gratitude to God for all of these gifts.
Abortion is not how a woman defines her freedom from men. Abortion further enslaves her to uncaring cowards who have no honor, no self- respect, no human dignity, and no desire to answer to anyone or anything, but their selfish desires!
Abortion truly is a perverted coward’s best friend.
40/60
Forty years of legalized murder and nearly 60 million dead; do we like the sound of that? I certainly don’t and if we don’t do some new and creative thinking and follow it up with some real action, we’ll be seeing 40 more years of abortion and perhaps more than 60 million dead innocents.
Prayer is the most powerful tool we have. Activism is just as important, but not just at the abortion mills and at your legislator’s offices. Take the pro- life message against contraception and abortion to people and places that need it. It’s easy to surround ourselves with like- minded pro- lifers, but after this 40th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, after this March for Life, take the message to where it hasn’t been shared.
Pray and evangelize, and if you don’t feel called to do that, make a donation to a pro- life organization or your local crisis pregnancy center. Volunteer or hold a fundraiser.
I know for a fact that there are many communities, be it neighborhoods, churches, schools, workplaces, and social clubs that can be great allies for life if we just reached out beyond our comfort zones. Start with your own circle of family and friends and start having those uncomfortable conversations. If not now, when? If not you, who?
It is great to see the energy and enthusiasm of the next generation of pro- lifers, but let’s diversify it, too, by involving actual communities that are being targeted by the abortion industry. Black and Hispanic communities need to be part of this team; otherwise we’ll never shut Planned Parenthood down!
